Update on the New Jersy Beef Recall
30 09 2007The New Jersey Beef Recall has been expanded due to additional samples tested by the New York Health Department that found more E coli contamination in meat produced and packaged at Topps meat packing plant in New Jersey. An additional 21.7 million pounds of beef are being recalled.

If you haven’t read it, and are wondering why there are so many meat recalls, read “The Jungle.” The methodology developed at the very beginning of the industrial revolution hasn’t changed all that much. So were not much more sanitary today than we were then.
